Purple Light Idea Factory
Chris is the founder of the Purple Light Idea Factory, which is a boutique consultancy focused on accelerating the growth of digital health companies targetting the employer space. Why Purple Lght? It's the hardest-to-see color on the visible spectrum; @PLIF, he helps uncovers what lies right in front of you. Chris has worked with thousands of employers across the country in designing their health care strategies, and hundreds of startups on their products and services.
Chris was the Lead Innovation Imagineer at Mercer’s Health Innovation LABS, as well as the founder and Creative Director of Willis Towers Watson's Health Imagination team. In both groups, his leadership roles had him focused on developing strategies and products through the use of human centered design, machine learning, consumer data insights, and creating customer delight. Chris is especially interested in emerging health care topics that focus on personalized medicine, neuroplasticity/brain science, disruptive market dynamics, multigenerational needs and global public health challenges.
Outside of work Chris is an artist, a blogger (www.theartofchan.com) and a trendspotter and has personal interests in 80’s toys, the known history of Westeros, brand anthropomorphism and advertising – which all influence the innovative ideas that he develops in the health care space. He’s also dismayed by the number of buzzwords written into this bio, so if you’ve made it this far, kudos to you.
Chris graduated from the University of California with a degree in neurobiology.
